How This All Started

I picked up juggling in the fourth grade and never really put it down to this day. In 1993 I met a guy at the gym who showed me my hobby could actually be a real business. That single conversation flipped a switch. I went all in on mastering technical skill, then realized style matters more than difficulty, which pushed me straight into comedy-focused performing.

Building The Show

In 1994 I launched The Flying Debris Show and started hitting the road. Juggling was the hook, but comedy quickly became the engine. I began blending physical stunts, magic, mentalism, and balloons into one tight, fast-paced act. Every crowd taught me something new, and every show pushed me to make the next routine sharper, smarter, and funnier.

Thirty Years On The Road

Since those early days I have performed across 49 states, Canada, and Mexico for fairs, festivals, libraries, colleges, and corporate events. I learned how to read a crowd in noisy fairgrounds and quiet theaters, and I built original bits that work for each audience. When you book me, you get decades of trial, error, and laughs already baked in.

The Flying Debris Experience

I built The Flying Debris Show on a simple idea back in 1994: I juggle, I crack jokes, and I pull the audience right into the middle of it. Over 30 years of touring across the United States, Canada, and Mexico taught me that the best shows feel personal, not rehearsed. I read the room, adjust the energy, and deliver what that specific crowd needs. I keep things fast, clean, and sharp so event planners can relax knowing their entertainment is locked in, and audiences stay engaged from the first trick to the final laugh.

Richard Holmgren, Entertainer

The Solo Performer Advantage

I am not a committee of performers or an agency sending whoever is available. I am one entertainer who juggles fire, performs magic and mentalism, twists balloons, and runs original stunts while keeping the comedy razor-sharp. That means consistency for you and authenticity for your audience. I adapt seamlessly for outdoor festivals, corporate banquets, library stages, and college events because I have done them all. My goal is simple: make entertainment the easy part of planning your event.
